Elementary Chorus
Elementary Chorus meets for half an hour one time per week during recess. Students will learn basic singing skills, to sing in two parts, to read a choral score, and continue to develop musicianship skills taught in general music. Students in grades 4-6 are eligible. Chorus members will perform in three concerts throughout the year.
Junior High Chorus
Junior High Chorus meets twice a week. Students involved sing in three parts and continue to hone their singing skills and musicianship. Students also learn about the inner workings of the voice and music history. Junior High Chorus members should be sure to come to rehearsal prepared with a pencil, their folder, and an open mind! Chorus members will perform in three concerts throughout the year.
Senior High Chorus
Senior High Chorus meets two times a week. The chorus performs a variety of repertoire and sings in three or more parts. Strong emphasis is placed on reading music, singing with correct breath support and posture, developing tone, and improving musicianship. Chorus members will perform in three concerts throughout the year. Senior High Chorus members should be sure to come to rehearsal prepared with a pencil, their folder, and an open mind!
